Kaziranga & Manas Tour

Kaziranga National Park (KNP), a name known all over the world for the successful conservation of one horned Great Indian Rhinoceros (Rhinoceros unicornis). Starting with a dozens of rhinos or so at the beginning of the last century, today the park is home to more than 70% of world’s population of Indian Rhinoceros. Being situated within the flood plain of mighty River Brahmaputra, the Kaziranga National Park is a veritable storehouse of biodiversity.

Manas sprawls over 2837 sq.kms, at the foot of the Bhutan Himalayas in India's North-East. It was declared a Project Tiger reserve in 1973. Rich in biodiversity of both flora and fauna, Manas has 22 species of fauna that are globally endangered. In 1985 it was declared a world heritage site. The core area is 470 sq. kms. The 2016 census estimated a presence of 30 tigers which is a huge turnaround for the park in many ways.

IT Nature Club is organizing a wildlife trail to Kaziranga and Manas from 26th January 2018 to 2nd February 2018 to explore and experience the wonderful wild fauna of both parks.
